Horse racing in the UK has never been more popular, particularly for those who are online and who can combine horse racing and betting at the same time. TV channels have quickly got on to the bandwagon and two channels in particular are solely dedicated to racing. The first one of these is Racing UK

Racing UKFollowing the termination of the Media Rights Agreement in 2004, Racing UK was established with the aim of creating a dedicated horse racing channel that was owned by the race courses themselves and that broadcasted to homes the very best horse racing possible.

It currently has thirty share holding racecourses; that include Cheltenham, Aintree, Epsom, Goodwood, Haydock, Kempton, Newbury, Newmarket and Sandown.

The Racing UK channel is on channel 432 for Sky satellite subscribers and can be paid for via monthly subscription or an annual payment.

At The Races

The company is a partnership between British Sky Broadcasting, Arena Leisure Plc and 30 UK racecourses, who have the aim of delivering the very best quality racing coverage. It is on channel 415 for Sky subscribers. They also cover racing on many of the Irish racecourses

They currently have the rights to broadcast racing from the following tracks in the UK: Ascot, Bath, Brighton, Chepstow, Doncaster, Exeter, Fakenham, Folkestone, Fontwell, Great Leighs, Hereford, Hexham, Kelso, Leicester, Lingfield, Newcastle, Newton Abbot, Perth, Plumpton, Ripon, Sedgefield, Southwell, Stratford, Taunton, Towcester, Uttoxeter, Windsor, Wolverhampton, Worcester and Yarmouth.

Channel 4 Racing & The Morning Line

Channel 4 Racing mainly, but not exclusively, features meetings from the Racing UK courses having signed a three-year contract which runs between January 1 2007 and December 31, 2009- the contract guarantees 80 days of racing each year on Channel 4 including Glorious Goodwood for the first time.
